If you’re searching for Puerto Rican food near Myrtle Beach or trying to find a fun local spot to add to your Pawleys Island restaurant list, Pa’ Picar needs to be on your radar.

This colorful food truck in Pawleys Island serves up bold Puerto Rican-inspired dishes, loaded comfort food, refreshing drinks, and some Friday-only specials that are absolutely worth planning around.

Start With the Passionfruit Juice

First things first: get the passionfruit juice.

It’s cold, tropical, refreshing, and exactly what you want while sitting outside enjoying a big plate of food. If you love fruity drinks, this is such an easy add-on to your order. They have daily specials that rotate constantly between different flavored fruit teas and lemonades. So I highly recommend asking what drinks they have available for that day. If Fernando has any version of his virgin pina colada… get it… TRUST ME on this one!

The Churrasco Steak Plate Is a Full Meal

The churrasco steak plate is one of those meals that immediately grabs your attention.

You get tender steak piled over rice with sautéed onions, beans, and fresh toppings. It’s filling, colorful, and packed with flavor. This is a great choice if you’re looking for a more traditional plate rather than a handheld meal.

And yes, come hungry.

Stuff in a Cup: Tailgate Edition

Now this one is just fun.

Pa’ Picar’s Stuff in a Cup: Tailgate Edition layers together:

Banger potato balls, cheese, steak, garlic parm, crispy onions, and a skewer on top.

It’s basically comfort food stacked on top of more comfort food.

Every bite gives you something different, and it’s the kind of thing you order because you just have to see what it’s all about.

This is a limited time Football season special so don’t sleep on this. The cups change weekly so make sure to follow them on Facebook to keep up with what’s in the next “Stuff in a Cup”

Friday Specials at Pa’ Picar

If you visit on a Friday, there are a couple of extra reasons to stop by.

The Bori Fish & Chips comes loaded with crispy fried fish, fries, slaw, lemon, and plenty of crunch. It’s golden, crispy, and exactly what you want from a fish and chips plate.

A plate featuring crispy chips, a container of garlic sauce, and a sandwich called Pescado Fuerte, filled with various toppings including cabbage, and served wrapped in foil.

Another Friday option is the Pescado Fuerte, a loaded fish sandwich served with crispy chips and garlic sauce.

If you’re a seafood person, Friday might be the best day to visit.

Whatever you do don’t skip the GARLIC SAUCE!!

Why Pa’ Picar Is Worth Checking Out

One of my favorite things about spots like this is that the menu feels fun.

You can go from churrasco steak to a loaded cup of comfort food to fish and chips, all while enjoying something tropical to drink.

It’s casual, flavorful, and has that local food truck vibe that makes you feel like you found something a little different from the usual restaurant stop.

If you’re looking for places to eat in Pawleys Island, Puerto Rican food in South Carolina, or a unique food truck near the Myrtle Beach area, Pa’ Picar is definitely worth checking out.

What I’d Order Again

My picks would be the passionfruit juice, the potato balls, and the stuff in a cup.

But if you’re going on a Friday, I would absolutely add one of the fish specials too.

Which would you order first: Churrasco Steak, Stuff in a Cup, Bori Fish & Chips, or Pescado Fuerte?
