If you’re searching for a date night restaurant in Myrtle Beach or Carolina Forest, I have a spot to add to your list: Nonna’s Taste of Italy in Carolina Forest.
This is the kind of restaurant that works really well for date night because you can slow down, order a few things to share, sip a cocktail or glass of wine, and turn dinner into more of an experience instead of just grabbing a quick meal.
And if you’re wondering what to order when you get there, I’ve got you covered.

Start With La Gondola
For me, date night should always start with something you can pick at and share, and La Gondola is perfect for that.
The presentation alone makes it feel special, with a spread of Italian meats, cheeses, olives, tomatoes and other little bites arranged around the board.
It’s one of those appetizers that immediately gets the table talking, and it pairs perfectly with cocktails or wine while you decide what you want for dinner.
If you love a good charcuterie-style board, this is an easy yes.

Do Not Skip the Ravioli Flight
This may have been one of the most fun things we ordered.
The Ravioli Flight gives you cheese ravioli served three different ways:
Pesto, Alfredo and marinara.
Why pick one sauce when you can try all three?
It’s also a great date-night order because you can split it and compare favorites. I’m always a fan of ordering something that makes dinner a little more interactive, and this definitely does that.
If you love pasta, put this one near the top of your list.

Chicken Parmigiana for a Classic Italian Dinner
If you want something hearty and comforting, the Chicken Parmigiana is a classic choice.
It comes lightly breaded and fried, topped with marinara and mozzarella, with pasta on the side.
This is exactly the kind of dish you expect from an Italian dinner out cheesy, saucy and filling.
Definitely come hungry.

Lisa’s Margherita Pizza
Pizza on date night? Absolutely.
Lisa’s Margherita Pizza has tomato, cheese, fresh basil and a beautifully charred crust.
It’s a great option if you want something a little more casual to share, or if you’re the couple that likes ordering several different things and tasting your way through the menu.
That is usually my preferred way to do dinner anyway.

Don’t Overlook the Bread and Salad
Sometimes the little extras make a meal memorable too.
The bread served with olive oil is a great way to start, and the house salad with Parmesan peppercorn dressing is definitely worth mentioning.
That dressing was one of those little surprises that made me pay attention.
Why I Recommend Nonna’s for Date Night
What I like about Nonna’s Taste of Italy in Carolina Forest is that it gives you options.
You can keep things simple with pizza and wine, go classic with Chicken Parmigiana, or turn dinner into a full tasting experience with La Gondola and the Ravioli Flight.
That makes it especially good for:
Couples looking for a Carolina Forest date night, visitors searching for Italian restaurants in Myrtle Beach, or locals who want something a little different from their normal dinner rotation.
What Myrtle Beach Foodie Babe Would Order
If it’s your first visit, my ideal date-night order would be:
La Gondola to start, the Ravioli Flight to share, Lisa’s Margherita Pizza or Chicken Parmigiana for the main course, and definitely cocktails or wine to make a night of it.
Save room, pace yourself and order a few things for the table instead of rushing through one entrée.
That’s what date night is supposed to be about anyway.
