Bohemian Bull has officially arrived in the Murrells Inlet/Garden City area, taking over the old Chicago Pizza building. We stopped by for their soft opening, eager to check out the atmosphere, food, and drinks. From start to finish, this place delivered on bold flavors and a laid-back, welcoming vibe. Here’s a full rundown of our experience!

First Impressions: A Warm, Inviting Space

Walking into Bohemian Bull, the first thing we noticed was the rustic-meets-modern decor. Exposed brick, warm wood tones, and plenty of natural light set the scene for a comfortable, inviting space. Whether you’re grabbing a drink at the bar or settling in for a full meal, the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between cozy and lively.

Sipping on Something Special

Since it was National Margarita Day, I had to try the Habanero Margarita—and it did not disappoint! The first sip hit with a refreshing citrusy sweetness, followed by a slow-building heat that lingered just enough to keep things exciting.

Ryan opted for the Legal Remedy Blonde Mocha Stout, a smooth and creamy brew with subtle hints of coffee and chocolate. If you’re into stouts but don’t want something too heavy, this one is definitely worth a try.

Appetizers: A Flavor-Packed Start

We kicked things off with three appetizers, each bringing its own unique twist to the table:

  • Deviled Eggs: Light, creamy, and packed with tangy goodness, these were the perfect way to start the meal.
  • Whipped Feta with Hot Honey Drizzle: This was easily one of the highlights! The feta was impossibly smooth, with a slight tanginess that paired beautifully with the sweet and spicy hot honey drizzle. Scoop it up with some toasted bread, and you’ve got an addicting bite.
  • Pretzel with Beer Cheese: Soft, warm, and golden brown, this pretzel was everything you’d hope for, especially when dipped into the rich, velvety beer cheese.

Main Course: Comfort Food with a Twist

For our entrées, we went with two classics—each with a Bohemian Bull twist.

  • Build Your Own Burger with Whole Fried Okra: I customized my burger just how I like it, and the patty was juicy, cooked to perfection, and stacked with fresh toppings. But the real standout? The whole fried okra. Crunchy on the outside, tender inside, and seasoned just right—it was an unexpected and delicious side.
  • Fish and Chips with Parmesan Truffle Fries: Ryan went for the Fish and Chips, and the crispy golden batter on the fish was light yet perfectly crunchy. The Parmesan Truffle Fries took it to the next level, with a rich, savory depth from the truffle oil and just the right amount of sharp parmesan.
